Fail

I named this blog incorrectly.  It should be called "Thirty Days of Pinterest Fail".  I am behind in my posts and two of my 3 last Pinterest projects have been slight failures.  Posts coming soon!

Day 1: Smothered Bacon Ranch Pork Chops

The inspiration for it all:  pork chops.

Actually, this recipe is a bit modified from the original recipe I had pinned.  Crock Pot Ranch Pork Chops sounded just fine to me, but then I realized I didn't have a Ranch seasoning packet.  I had a Bacon Ranch packet.  Hm, I thought.  Pork + pork has to be good, right?  Right.

Looks pretty good, huh?

Smothered Bacon Ranch Pork Chops

1 pound boneless pork chops (about 1 inch to 1 1/2 inch thick)
1 can Cream of Chicken soup
1 packet JD's Bacon Ranch seasoning

Mix ranch packet and soup in bottom of your crockpot.  Do NOT add water.  Place pork chops in crock pot and set on low.  Allow chops to cook at least 4-6 hours.  Check on chops throughout this time to make sure they're submerged in the mix and not drying out.  You shouldn't have to add any liquid.

Serve over mashed potatoes of your choice--but make sure you use the "gravy", it's excellent!

The Beginning!

Yup, it's true.  I'm one of those obsessive Pinterest chicks.  I sit in front of the computer, neglecting my children, pinning away.  I pin everything--from marble luge tutorials for my kids to recipes for Nutella fudgesicles (go ahead, you know you want to look).

Tonight, while I was drooling over yet another Pinterest-found dinner success, I thought it might be fun to challenge myself to at least one Pinterest recipe or craft everyday for thirty days.  Why not?  It's not like I'm a busy mom who is going back to work full time and is a full time college student.  I got this shiz in the bag.  If you have an idea you want to try but are too chicken to try yourself, let me know.  I might just try it for you!

So, without further ado, I present:

Thirty Days of Pinterest!  Tada!

Yeah, that was kind of anti-climatic, huh?
